Here is a taste of what I can offer:
The Nabataeans Discover a long-lost people who created a civilization in the desert and fed the Roman Empire’s desire for perfumes. The Nabataeans built cities in the Negev, brought perfumes from south Arabia to the Mediterranean coast, and developed a flourishing system of agriculture based on capturing and storing the scant desert rains. Scientists are now studying the agricultural techniques of the Nabataeans. (Suggested time: 3 hours)
The Negev’s Nature Let the desert envelope you. Hike along the creek beds of Nahal Haverim or Nahal Karkash and discover how local plants and animals survive and even thrive in such a harsh environment. We will see ibex, desert birds, reptiles, and the tracks of the desert nightlife. Find out how the Negev was formed and the history of its inhabitants. And if you wish, we can visit Ein Ovdat, a rare desert spring. (Suggested time: 1.5 to 3 hours)
Bike Tour to Sde Zin Bike along the cliff edge of Nahal Zin at sunset or sunrise. Watch the light change over the mountains. (Bring your camera!) (Suggested time: 1.5 to 3 hours)
I will also tailor ½ and 1 day hiking or biking trips to suit your needs. We can also visit local farms and vineyards or enjoy some Beduin hospitality while they tell you about traditional lifestyles and how they have changed.
